Here, psych artists Füxa float out a four song tribute to one of their main sources of musical inspiration, Suicide. The EP features stunning covers of Suicide's classic "Girl" and "Cheree" ... which shows up in both the regular and a remixed formate. Also include is a new song entitled "4th Abductions," which was co-written by Suicide’s Martin Rev. The guests include Dean Wareham [late of Galaxie 500, Luna, and now playing as Dean and Britta] laying out the vocals on "Cheree," leaving Sonic Boom [late of Spacemen 3, E.A.R., and now with Spectrum] to handle the vocals and keyboards on "Girl."

As a sort of minimalist-psychedelic love-fest, things drift off into the ether rather easily, with both versions of "Cheree" capturing the flavor and scheme of the original, yet even more lustrous with the addition of a full rock band and shimmering ambient effects. "Girl" doesn’t wander too far from the original 1977 outing, and that's just fine, though it does sound fresh and wonderful to hear Sonic Boom’s [Pete Kember] voice, along with Richard Formby [of Spectrum] giving new life to a classic. "4th Abductions" is a new number, it's an instrumental droning piece that times in at nine-minutes, and is full of trippy-ness. It's hard not to like Suicide, and hearing their music presented in this manner, with these artists, only makes it that much more endearing.
