Atkins is the more sedate of the two, as Reed can be heard humming and singing snatches of the lyrics here and there, but it's the interaction between them that makes the recordings valuable. The tracks from Me & Chet are perhaps a bit more considered, and thus not as impressive, though there is a reading of Mystery Train that has considerable fire. Track Listing. Country Music. I'm primarily a Chet Atkins fan and am trying to flesh out my collection of his recordings, including his work with others such as Mark Knopfler, Suzy Bogguss, and Les Paul. I have one other Chet and Jerry CD that's good but not entirely great. Individually I prefer Me and Chet as it is more Jerry Reed's style, where Me and Jerry is more Chet Atkins' style. Both albums are great and together they make an unbeatable collection of some of the finest fingerstyle guitar you will ever find. Cosmetically, I love the light-hearted album cover photographs and the sleeve notes, which also contain amusing messages from Messrs Reed and Atkins Read more
